This Chester County Armory listing is for a rare, Russian PPSh-41 7.62x25 Tokarev transferable machine gun with a storied past. This chromed version was a dress/display gun for the Soviet Government. It was said to have been mistakenly left in a Las Vegas hotel room by a visiting Soviet envoy in the late 1970's or early 1980's. When discovered by the hotel, they contacted the Las Vegas Police Department, who, in turn contacted the Soviet governement group who had left it. Since they were already on their way out of the United States, and not wanting to return, they gifted it to the LVPD. There, it was added to the registry, and remained in their possession for most of the the 1980's. The gun is in fully functional mechanical condition. The chrome finish is beginning to flake in spots, mostly around the muzzle. The stock has been stamped "LVPD" and "102" on the rear sides. It includes one 71rd drum magazine in matching chrome finish and eight additional 35rd box magazines (in standard black parkerziation). This machine gun is fully transferable on a Form 3.
